The High-Speed Swift Train
Called in honor of one of the fastest birds in the world, the new high-speed Swift train first departed from Berlin to Moscow on December 17, 2016. The Swift train covers the distance between the two capital cities (1896 km or 1178 mi) in only 20 hours and 14 minutes, making it the fastest option for traveling by train from one city to another. On the way, this high-speed train crosses the territory of four countries, including Belarus. Please keep in mind that for some passengers a Belarusian transit visa is required! The Swift runs twice a week connecting the cities from one city center to the other (the Kursky Station in Moscow and the East Station in Berlin). Also, the train offers different travel classes suitable for passengers with different budgets and comfort preferences. Plus, during the trip, all travelers are offered a variety of meals and drinks in the restaurant car. Moreover, the train is equipped with seats for people with special needs.

Coaches of this type have 5 cabins with 2 beds (1 lower + 1 upper) in each. They are ideal for overnight trips, especially when two passengers are traveling together. All cabins are equipped with air-conditioning, table, safe, reading lights, and 220V outlets. Lockable doors provide travelers with privacy, while large panoramic windows offer great views. A bathroom is located at the end of the coach. One meal, bed linen and hygienic kit are also included in the ticket price. Additional snacks and beverages can be purchased in the restaurant car.

Business Class Seat
This class type of the modern high-speed Swift train is a nice option for traveling between Moscow and Berlin. Providing amenities for 20 passengers, each coach of this type features air-conditioning, adjustable reclining seats (2 by 1 arrangement) with folding tables and footrests, individual lighting, 220V electricity plugs, generous space for luggage and a bathroom. What is more, getting on board, passengers are provided with a hygienic kit and a newspaper. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase in the restaurant car.

This coach type is the simplest travel option available on board the high-speed Swift train. This class provides facilities for 36 passengers, including comfortable seats (arranged 2 by 2) with individual lighting and folding tables, 220V electricity plugs, air-conditioning, and a bathroom. No meals are included in the ticket price, however, passengers can buy snacks and beverages in the restaurant car. As a rule, there are 9 coaches of this type in a train set.
